Is this a good deal?

Hey Everyone,
I am getting ready to check out this car and probably purchase it. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for any issues I could check on the spot and if this is a good deal in the first place?

Looks like a good deal. Just go and check it out 1st. But it's a good idea to get the car fax in it

Well, I did a carfax and it had an accident. The seller saidthe left fender was replaced. Is that a big deal?

I would just have an Infiniti dealer run through it and pull the work history. Mine is an 08X with about 80k and have done all the maint.. The car is rock solid and my daily driver. I still love it and said to think that is all it is worth. Seems like a respectable deal if clean and maint. done.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I purchase my 2008 G35x S w/ 68,000 miles for $18,000 last month. Mine had a 3 year 36,000 btb warranty though so no worries. Get it checked out.

The dealership near me said it would be 270 to check it. Is that a rip off?

Well if you have the car fax and everything looks good for you then take it. I would not pay 270 at the dealers to look at it. If you want the extra insurance, get the Elite warranty

What exactly are they checking for that amount? Is that to do a complete mechanical inspection on the car, or is it just to release a copy of the car's service history?

I paid an Infiniti dealer near me $125 to do a full inspection. They were very informative and detailed and pointed out everything wrong with it and how much it would cost to fix. Would be a good idea to bring it to their technicians, but $270 seems pretty steep to me. I guess every dealer sets their own prices so not much you can do there. Or you can find a mechanic or shop that specializes in Nissan/Infiniti to check it out, I'm sure the price will be much more reasonable than the dealer.

Call around to a reputable shop or dealer. It's tru about dealership prices. I call around and the two local infiniti dealers charge different for exact work.

So I had a friend look at it fr me.

So the common paint issue that everyone knows about is there. How bad is this and how much do you think it would cost. Also, since he replaced the left fender the color has faded. So does anyone know how much these cosmetic issues would cost.
