2007 G35 Journey to 2011+ M56... anyone?

Hey all.

So I have had my 2007 G35 Sedan for 2 years now and it has been a great car. No mechanical issues, and aside from the little annoying things such as some squeaks, peeling trim, etc... it has been a wonderful car.

It is paid off, approaching 90k and I still plan on driving it close to, or possibly a little over 100k miles, but as of recently I have been looking into selling the G. I believe I can get about 11 - 13k for the car and that will all go down on my next ride. There are a lot of options, but the 2011+ M56 has caught my eye.

From what I have seen, the one's in my area, Sac + Bay, have been selling roughly around 22 - 30k with around 40k miles. The reviews on this car are solid, the interior is fantastic, and the 420hp V8 matched to the 7-speed automatic is great.

I haven't driven one yet, but I was curious... does anyone here have any experience with them? I love my G, it has been a great car and based off this experience I think I want to stick with Infinti.

Anyone has any thoughts on this swap? Does anyone have any experiences with the M56 that were positive/negative, etc...

Any input is appreciated, thanks

M56, purty.

I don't see many up here at all. But I like the look too.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if the 2012 or 2013 model has less issues. It seems the 1st gen of a new model always has problems.

Hoping maybe the 2012 has less issues.

I got to test drive the M56 and loved it. Almost bought one but couldn't afford the payments so got the M37 instead. Thinking if I should have waited until I could have afford it. It's a great car.

Oh nice. Yeah I just need to get to the dealership and test drive one.

I mean, they look awesome, have great power, and with the 7-speed auto get just about the same gas mileage as my 5-speed G35.

Plus the interior was very well put together IMO.

I'm just curious if anyone owns one and has the real-life experience with them.

Not w/ the 56 only w/ the M37. I do love the interior of the car.
