2007 G35s Sport Sedan vs 2012 Mercedes Benz C350 Sedan

I happen too own the two cars. I'm just curious to see what others think about the two going head to head or just a comparison.

Thanks!

Own one of them, driven the other a few times. Nice car.

The Merc is more refined no doubt. From the interior right to the engine and transmission. I believe its faster? But its almost double the price on the used market, and I have never been huge on the Merc look. Not ugly, but not me.

The C class Benz's look decent but aren't necessarily anything special. But respect for your two babies, haha.

pretty sure the G is quicker, ( isn't the C class 350 only like 268 hp?) plus being from up north, sort of like me,, I surprised the G isn't an X like the c-class.....

Think the 2012 is DI with 305hp or something with like 275 lb/ft. But its 0-60 is about the same as the G37 sedan, and 335i still beats them both.

Performance is nice on both. For a DD a few tens of a second isn't super critical. The Merc is better on fuel, and rides quieter. G sounds better and IMO gives more driver feedback. Really a matter of taste and needs. I'd gladly take the keys of each.

Does the fact that the G is 5 years ahead of its time (compared to its competitor) get it any extra points? I mean c'mon...that's what I always loved about the G: people can only compare it to nice cars that came waaayyyyy later.
