so it seems that the creaking noise that i've been experiencing is due to my FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS.

after greasing them the noise went away - but after the grease wore off, it's back.

the control arms are quite expensive, so i'm trying to avoid replacing them.

does anyone know if i can just replace the bushings? has anyone done this? do you have the part #'s for the just the bushings?

is there a better grease that will last longer?

is there any danger in driving the car as it is? what's the impact of bad bushings on the front lower control arms?

 

if you don't have AWD whiteline makes replacement bushings w52991 and w52992.

 

i have a 2007 g35 sport, so it's 2WD.

my mechanic said it was the 'rear' bushings on the FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARMS. do you know if this translates to the 'inner' bushing or 'outer' bushing?

no, decided not to change it since there is absolutely no play anywhere in my suspension.
