No lights, cluster and dash.

I've searched for this and can not find anything close to my issue. Everything worked fine yesterday. Got in car this morning started it up, cluster and all dash lights were on. Turned on my head lights and everything is black like I shut the car off. Everything is working as it should. Just no lights, headlights and all worked. I'm sure there is a fuse, and I don't have an owners manual. Can anyone give me the fuse number please?

Did you turn the illumination down by chance on the left side of the cluster?

Nope. The buttons do nothing when the headlights are on. Works fine when I turn the lights off.

That cluster lid assy.could possibly be bad. It wouldn't be a fuse because the lights work when the headlights are turned off. Those illumination switches are made into that lid assy. that surrounds the cluster. That would be my best guess.

Dnt think its the cluster. Unless the cluster also controls the radio and AC lights. They also will not come on with headlights. Just the radio screen is on and when I turn the lights on the auto dimming of the radio turns off and is bright as hell.

Ok..do this. turn headlights on and see if the tail lights are illuminated because I know the taillight fuse is the same one for the center audio and a/c illumination on the V36 models.

I will do that. Hope they are. I drove to work at 2am this morning. I know the brake lights, and turn signals were working. Do you know that fuse number or where I could get a list of all the fuses and relays?
Just don't understand why people take their owners manuals out of the car and don't put them back in there when they sell a car. It's a 2 owner car from Alabama only had 80,000 miles. With a clean Carfax. Carfax never showed any issues at all reported.

Yeah the brake lights are on a different fuse. If you take all the trim around the battery up you will find the ipdm/er behind the battery. Once you can access it and get the lid off I believe it is the top left fuse. It may even tell you on the lid which fuse is which. I know the V35 models had the fuse names on the lid. Hope this solves your issue brother.

Thank you I will give that a look this evening. Nice to know that there's a fuse box under there. The only one I knew of was under the dash.

Yes sir no problem. There is a small fuse box in front of the battery but you will need to access the big one right behind the battery. It will have a black lid covering the whole thing up so you won't be able to see the fuses until you get that lid off.

You can download the Owner Manual for your car here: https://owners.infinitiusa.com/conte...-G35-Sedan.pdf

And if you want the actual Factory Service Manual, you can get that here: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G35/Sedan/2008/

Well all the fuses are labeled. I pulled every fuse, under hood and dash. All were good. Even unhooked battery for well over 30 mins while car cooled some.
2 things though, when I turn the car on, not starting, cluster shows brightness min. Dimmer buttons will not do anything period. With lights on or off.
Second things, again turn car on, not starting. After the few little beeps it does. The service engine soon light flashes 5 slow blinks, then remains on. SES light off when car running.
This is killing me. Can't afford to pay dealer to even look at it right now. Hell barely had it a month.

Hey infinitidude, how do I go about taking the dimmer buttons out beside my cluster? That brightness dim stays on screen for a bit when I start my car, and the buttons are not working. Wondering if something maybe wrong or broken in the buttons.

Isn't there an ambient light sensor in the circuit as well? Regardless of your desired brightness setting, I thought it could also tell if you were in a dark tunnel (or at night) vs. being in bright sunlight. Maybe there is some malfunction with that.

But would that sensor make a difference if your lights were just set to on, and not auto? But that brightness min will stay on screen until I hit another button or open the door. The dimmer buttons are doing nothing.
