Hey guys,

I just had some exhaust work done on my wife's G35 and, to my OCD horror, discovered that they didn't use factory Infiniti parts. This morning when my wife started the car, I noticed that only one side (the old side) had exhaust smoke coming from the tail pipe. The other side had a little but not much. I put my hand over the pipe and there was back pressure but not as much as the original side.

Parts replaced were a Y-pipe and the passenger side rear muffler.

Thoughts?

 

For whatever reason, one side is lower flow than the other. As long as exhaust exits both sides and you don't notice a performance drop, I wouldn't worry about it.
