Saywat- I've used to be big on Castrol but recently just switched over to Mobil 1 and Pureone things-not really anything bad about the Castrol just wanted to try something different and watch and compare what's my oil gauges are saying with the two different oil brands I have mentioned in my post!

I will have had her 10 years next month.

I'm a Amsoil dealer, run amsoil in my track car but the daily gets the Castrol Edge or Mobil 1,I do sell a lot of amsoil to my customers at work(been working with corvettes for 14 years now)

I doesn't matter what brand you use if you change it and your filter frequently!

What brand oil you run is basically a matter of opinion! When I turned 1K miles with SLICK I began using Mobil1 5W/30, a few years later I switched to RedLine and a few years after that I started using AMSOIL because of the quality rumor factor. When I began using 1 quart between changes I went back with Mobil1, I quit using oil. Now I buy all my Mobil1 10W/30 at Costco and WIX filters from my auto parts store.

Gary, I have used Castrol Edge and WIX but now just switched to Mobil 1 with Pureone filter and my G purrs like a happy kitten! And my oil temp and oil pressure gauges are happy also!

I've been using Castro edge since my last vehicle.....lots of good reviews and like someone said earlier if you change routinely at shorter intervals it shouldn't really matter which brand you use

When I got my G35Xs, I ran Mobil1 5w-30 for 1 oil change. Then ran GC, the Syntec 0w-30, Castrol Edge 5w-30, then Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30, and then finally Pennzoil Ultra 5w-30, all with the Nissan oil filter. Now I'm at roughly 98000 miles.

Feel that the engine sounded the smoothest with the GC and the Pennzoil Ultra. My OCI's were between 5K miles to roughly 7800 miles. Also, did multiple Blackstone analysis and all were good.

For what it's worth, also use Amsoil Synthetic Gear lube in my front and rear differentials. Transfer case, transmission, coolant, power steering, and brake fluid all Nissan and changed at least twice already.
