My driver seat leather was trashed so I picked up another entire seat in great shape. But I see on the computer underneath that it is for an AT, and I have a 6MT (2007 G35S). Can anyone tell me what the difference might be?

Reading through the shop manual, it looks like the Automatic Drive Positioner feature depends on different things in the two models. For the AT the transmission needs to be in Park, and for the 6MT the parking brake needs to be engaged. So I'm guessing the seat computer is different for those reasons.

I'll just swap in my current computer module. The key thing I'm hoping is that there's nothing different about the shape of the seat itself (e.g. due to the transmission tunnel).

 

Any resolution on that? I'd be interested to know since my driver seat 08 6MT has lots of wear and tear and I would love a replacement.
