Windshield without Shade Band

Windshield without Shade Band
Anyone with a sedan been able to find a windshield replacement without the shade band? I've messed about 10 places near me and none can get a version without it. Thanks!

Usually you can order one from a glass shop without a shade band, just curious though, why do you NOT want one?

Unfortunately none of the local glass shops can find one yet. I'm tall so I need all the windshield I can get. The band is distracting.

Makes sense, depending on the interior package (I think it applies to the ones without the 6 way power seat) you might be able to perform the mod to lower the seat itself 3/4". Every little bit helps.
