Probably a good idea, also the G35X AWD system may not work like you think, it does not always engage power to the fronts when slip or spin is detected. VDC has many tricks up its sleeve to curb the wheelspin including cutting throttle and even applying brakes, and sometimes it uses these as a first measure. I find the AWD system only really works at very low speeds (1st gear)
