Original owner since May 2008 and at 93K miles. Getting a little irritated at the rattling noise in the engine (supposedly normal) and just got a quote for $4500 to fix the airbag light (requires full seat replacement.... not gonna fix, putting tape over light instead). Otherwise it's been a great car and minimal repairs. Had two breakdowns in the last year for starter and coolant hose connector. Replaced one wheel bearing (common issue) and had AC compressor replaced under extended warranty (noisy).
Next car will likely be something more mainstream like Accord or Altima since I only make short trips around town.

Purchase order went in 12/06.... trucked up to WA state from CA in 3/2007. Dealers in area wouldn't do anything other than MSRP on new model so was able to get Fairfield, CA dealer to put in a custom order on a fully loaded X at invoice and truck up to WA state. Big savings on a lot of levels. I think pre-tax price was around $37.8K for a fully loaded X with tech package.
I had shopped '06 G35x in spring of 2006 but again dealers wouldn't budge.

2008 Infinity G35X
Our current 2008 was purchased with around 30k but it was never titled. the owner of the dealership let his wife drive it. this ole girl has 202,000 miles on it to date. she is still in very good shape and running like a champ. we actually just replaced the original battery on it this year. we have taken it to infinity for just about everything since we had it. we did have a pretty nice ac repair 2 or 3 years ago, but other than that. this has been the best car we have ever owned. we just purchased a 2018 Q50 from the Cavana vending machine this month. we get to pick it up on the 26th. I think we will be infinity owners for life.

This thread is amazing. Lately I've been thinking about coming back to an an Infiniti after my GS400 was recently totalled.
Have been going back and fourth about an 07-08 G35xS or a 2010 G37xS.
Still on the fence about it but seeing so many high mileage examples running flawlessly makes me consider an 07-08 for some reason.
Lately I've seen some low mileage 07-08s around the same price as average mileage 09-10s.
Any reason why I should skip a G37 and go for an 07-08 model G?

07 G35X sedan V36 with the VQ35HR with 215k and I love it
No major issues for me, I think that I have to change my cam shaft position sensors but other than that it is still fast and fun plus it handles amazing. First infinity and I love the G's more than the newer cars. Best of luck finding one for yourself
