Got pictures taken, but there's a ton of glare. Going to try again tonight once it's dark. That will also let me use my computer to upload them instead of my phone.

Ensure car is parked, engine off, ignition on, adapter plugged in and Bluetooth connected.

1. Select connect at the bottom of the home screen.

2. Look at the list of available networks.
https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/g35driv...b0fa7cf95b.jpg

3. Select Automatic Transmission, ensure the check mark is on the right.

4. Click yes on the Warning banner to proceed, do this while parked (a disclaimer, just like the warning banner).

5. Pick which gauge position you want to use for the temperature reading, touch and hold until it pops up the menu.
https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/g35driv...ea91274bd0.jpg

6. Tap on Display Configuration.

7. Select the Item drop down.
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/g35driv...d064de6218.jpg

8. Select Nissan/Infiniti. It will give you only 1 option "Automatic Transmission", tap it.
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/g35driv...ae19aad2e6.jpg

9. Swipe down until you get to "ATF Temperature 1" and tap it. Click on "DONE" on the top right, and it will take you back to the gauge screen.

If it's still no go it's gotta be something with the technology package, as mine is a base model X, no tech package, no Nav, no Bose.

Thanks for posting pics. Yeah... been through all that. It does the enhanced scan of AT and I will see a scan of 1-100 but no PIDs are ever found so I can't attach one to a gauge.

I'll keep pecking away at it. Appreciate time others have done to test this out as well.

treacherous 09-21-2019 11:07 AM

I tried from a fresh install and told Fusion to not scan for PIDs when connecting. I then was able to add the AT gauges as at this point app doesn't know what car is capable of providing.

I didn't expect much and still a no go. No PIDs found and gauges still have the AT variable defined but no communication or readings.

Been busy sorry man

also had all of the '07 ECU updates performed. I liked the stock flash with very sensitive pedal but got bit by some of the weird heat soak idle issues of the RTM stock flash.
I'm in the middle of a apprenticeship it's been crazy sorry for the late response. I don't know when the car was built, I could scan the VIN and maybe find it that way. I don't have the upgraded cruise control I do have navigation and the Bose stereo setup. Also it's just the 2wd. I'll see if I can find the date of production for you I'm almost positive it's 06 because it was first sold in 06. The 07 ECU update you mentioned, is it something you did yourself or had done? I'm just curious if it's something I should look it to. Man I'm invested in you get your Transmission temperature at this point lol. :fingersx:

Ironically all the radar cruise PIDs and AFS headlight PIDs are found. I had several dealer flashes done.

I believe these are the three I had done.

I hooked up one of my "real" ELM327 chipset readers I obtained from Romania a few years back and it was actually able to obtain TPMS data. Capabilities certainly depend on the OBD dongle. Several of my adapters will also display the TPMS ID in decimal. You can just run a conversion to HEX to get the your TPMS IDs.

That's infuriatingly crazy

I can tell just by your post you know a lot more about obd scanners than I do, I followed the guy's form "odb for everyone" on you tube to set mine up. He didn't do transmission because he has a manual but I got the general idea. The tire pressure is really cool. I just tried it, I was able to find them and set up a gauge but got no reading. That being said I've had the tire pressure light on for about a year-and-a-half so all the batteries can be dead I guess :52:. I tried to put a a link for the "obd for everyone" channel on you tube but it put up the whole video. The guy that makes the videos has help me a few times with Infiniti stuff you could try commenting on his YouTube channel. He has another channel that he does work on his G 37 and he's always responded to my comments for help.

Thanks! I will try reaching out to him... not an expert but I purchased my first one about 20 years ago now for my '96 5.0L Explorer.

Keep me informed I'm pulling for you.

I went into diagnostics and found which sensor was bad, gave me a C1710 code which indicates data can't be received from the right rear transmitter. not sure if i'll bother fixing when I put on new tires or not.

treacherous 09-24-2019 07:50 PM

Cool you got a code. Before this... using data from the FSM troubleshooting grid I would ground that TPMS wire by the brake pedal and watch flashes of the TMPS light using the troubleshooting legend in FSM to figure out issue. A PIA compared to getting the code via a OBD reader.

Sounds like TPMS sensor battery died. Since average life is like 5-8 years I changed mine out at year 11 when I had new tires put on last year.

Since I have a situation where OBD Fusion will detect on my car via a 3rd party sensor and not their native sensor I think I will try troubleshooting that one first and this may help why AT stats aren't detected. Or I am going down a pigeon hole of no relevance :-)

Joenavy85 10-15-2019 01:19 PM

I managed to find the tire pressure readouts in Fusion, still getting no reading on the right rear after a tire rotation, so I'm suspecting a bad receiver. Still haven't gotten my UltraGauge to read trans temps. And I haven't yet tried the info from the original post in my ScanGauge.

Joenavy85 12-26-2019 09:18 AM

2 month update. Fusion works great, still haven't gotten my Scangauge or Ultragauge to read the trans temps, even after the firmware update on the SG. Only issue now is that my SG will no longer clear codes, not sure why, but I can still clear them with Fusion, so it's not really an issue.

Just a simple AT drain and refill (3 quarts & 19 ounces) along with a oil/filter change today.

Meant to post over here

https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-eng...id-change.html

Fluid had great healthy color and nothing abnormal with smell.. only about 20k miles since last drain and fill in 2019 though.
