I've replaced worn out visors on many cars. Usually, 3rd party stuff is available for $30 or so. In fact, I had a 2003 G35 previous to this and had no problems finding a replacement.

But with my 2008 - no one seems to make a replacement visor. I've found one site that wants almost $200 and ... that's it.

I can buy used or salvaged visors but I fear they'll be as bad as the floppy one I already have.

Am I overlooking something? Can I use a different year / model's sun visor?

Any pointers are appreciated.

 

Is it possible to fix the one u currently have? Sometimes its easier to fix it rather than replace it.

It's super floppy.

 

You can probably just wrap the stem with electrical tape for more resistance as an alternate method.

 

I buy replacement OEM parts like that on eBay if I can't find them locally at a pick n pull.

 

Thanks, guys! I bit the bullet and paid for an expensive OEM part. I was hopeful someone would say, "a 2003 visor will work," or "try this site" or something. But thanks for the suggestions. Happy to have a visor that stays put.
