Is this possibly a ground? If so where does it go to?
If anybody knows your assistance would be greatly appreciated as I'm unable to locate where it goes and I believe it to be causing issue with the running of my car

any check engine lights or other warnings showing up on the dash?

 

If I got my eyes right, that’s the engine drivers side head ground strap to the body of the car. You can run just about any piece of wire there.
