To me looking at daily and/or weekly post counts on a top boards list is like worrying about daily fluctuations in the stock market. The results may vary greatly from day to day, instead of trending upward with time.

 

While that may be true for the stock market, it is not quite the same in this situation. If you want to look at it the way you are talking, then lets compare the total revenue gained by a company that started in 1940's with the revenue made by a company that started in 2005. Does that not sound irrelevant? That is what I think of comparing by total posts. It is just retarded.

Take the number 2 spot, held by IGN. They started in the mid 90's while driver started in the 2000's. No **** they are going to have less total posts. Anyway, this is off topic. If you want to talk more about it, PM me.

FYI, according to the logs, daily new reggies have been up especially in jan. and last I looked last week there were 7 days or so that were at record highs. Driver is alive and doing well.

Can someone answer my question please. How does the ranking (for what it's worth) affect ones visit on Driver if the ranking is 1, 200 or 5,000? Isn't it the same no matter what the ranking is? I mean it is what it is. Isn't it the Driver community that makes it what it is not the other way around?

 

I can understand that line of thought. The reason I said something is because the icon is actually *called* "rolleyes" so the perceived intent is rolling your eyes. Things tend to degrade into nasty comments around here too often of late and I for one would like to see that stop so I'm being proactive.
