Search box hidden behind/under Advertisement Bar

Every now and then, when I click on the search bar, the search box does not display as it is hidden BEHIND the ads in the advertisement bar. I am forced to reload the page, and hopefully bring up a different ad that doesn't hide the bar.

Now, is this something that I am doing incorrectly on my part? Is it my browser (FF2)? Any help would greatly appreciate this newbie who absolutely needs to use the search bar

^ Right-click on the Search button and "Open" is an easier work-around than reloading the page.
