Hey guys, been wanting this ever since I signed up awhile back. A regional sale forum would be perfect! I'm always in the socal region and it's pretty dead in there. I'm sure it'd have more life if there was a subforum for socal.

(I hate browsing through the marketplace and checking to see if their local)

I always hang out in the socal regional market places, a lot of successful forums have them too. It'd be a great addition.

last I heard, we were basically waiting on there to be enough posts (in the new format) before turning it on. The new format has been for about a month, so I don't imagine it will be too long.

 

i hope so, get the socal marketplace booming

it kinda already is. We implemented prefixes almost a year ago so if all you're interested in is SoCal, then there's an easy solution:

At the bottom of the marketplace sections there's a drop down that says Prefix. Just look for the ones that say SoCal. I generated that link by going to Search, and then searching for all threads in the marketplace with the prefix FS [SoCal].

The new things in the marketplace will be mostly beneficial to areas where we don't have predefined prefixes for.

Ah, I was hoping it would be a subforum inside the southern california region lol it's hard enough for me to find the classifieds right now. the link above didn't work.

 

^ it did, it just takes you to the section where the classifieds are on the forum index (it's between the lounge and technical).

As for a separate section, it's easy to find all the parts for your region in the current classifieds and creating new sections just creates more work for everyone. You'd also have people double posting if they're willing to ship.

In short, I doubt it'll ever happen.

 

yeah... i was kinda hoping for a socal section to post up EVERYTHING that is for sale rather then categories and THEN socal inside the categories.
