If you are trying to reach 400HP you need to boost your ride. Look into superchargers and turbos. You won't even get to 300HP with those mods.

You can run a Vortech supercharger without doing a motor build. I'm not an FI expert but from what I've seen from people who own them it won't "kill" your engine as long as you aren't running a crazy amount of boost. Turbos are a different story, you should definitely plan on an motor build if you have a TT setup.

I suggest checking out the FI section of my350z.com. Lots of good info over there.

Another question i heard from vortech that the SC if on a A/T has to be put in sports mode (is that VDC off or something else) and has to be run in the manual shifting on the A/T is this true or what?

Here is message

Hello,

You can run this kit on an Automatic car but in order to properly run it the transmission will have to run in sport mode and will have to be manually shifted.

Thank You.

this is all true but eventually the bigger boost bug will get you if u EVER do FI and eventually you'll wanna build or overdue it and be forced to build

just do your reasearch on the topic.. read on my350z you will find all your info there.

also, SC will not "kill" your motor as long as you take care of it and are aware of what your motors limits are. that knowledge and responsible maintenance is key as well.
