constructive criticism...
although the site looks great, i think the 1/2 g35 on either side of the bulletin board as you scroll down takes up too much space, and would look better and would be easier on the eyes without it there.
overall good job though

I would agree with this, however the opposing sedan/coupe pictures are awesome and represent both sides while providing visual anchors at the top (keep these), but offering a wider space for text would be better than using the space for the 1/2 images, especially for those with lower resolutions.

I would say loose the background image altogether.. I think it really squishes the forum layout and the ads could be placed at the bottom of the page to make the site more horizontally oriented. Just my 0.02.

Maybe whay you really need is a larger monitor.

The most glaring flaw with the design is that it is cluttered with redundant borders and images. I own a G35 - do I seriously need 5 separate pictures of the car on every page to remind me what it looks like? The flanking overhead shots of the G35 are extremely distracting and create an additional layer of unnecessary visual hierarchy.
The main menu is very irritating. The letters are squished to such an extent that there is practically no variation in the y-height at all.
vBulletin based sites are generally plagued with layout issues due to the inflexibility of the software. However, it is worse here than on most forums. This is primarily because pretty much everything outside the metallic gray border is unnecessary.
I'm sorry for the harsh words, but this needs another revision.

Maybe there sould be a few different themes made for the site??
I think it is a big improvement over the last. There is a lot I probably would have done graphically but that is just me and I'll keep that to myself.
As for function, I did notice a few minor things. Please take a look at the screenshot I took today below.
Few things:
1) The two cars next to the banners seems to be forcing larger the size of the table or div (i didnt check) when the page is resized small. It pushes past the edges of the border, breaking the design layout. I would make the table or div for the rest of the content at least equal to the width of the banners plus the size of the two cars if you wish to keep them. When made small the size nav is also pushed out past the width of the border, making it look messy. I know most people won't have the screen this small but if someone views the forum in a small window this will happen and I think should be addressed.
2) The bottom curve graphic has a black background, I am guessing it should be either transparent or have the same color as the blue/purple bg.
Good Luck

-I don't like the fact that I HAVE to subscribe to an entire thread to receive reponses back from people in a thread. I'd rather people REPLY to ME about things I say than receive a darn email every time someone adds a new post to a thread I replied in.
I also do not like the split Coupe photos on either sides of the text area. It does hog a lot of space. Plus, the margins for the text are not adjustable to be wider. I'd rather have more width so I can read more text without scrolling so much.
Hope this feedback helps!

I think the site would look MUCH better if those 2 coupe pics were removed completely and the entire main table is left-justified, like the old site. This makes it look more professional and less n00b
right?
Also, the tiny car-icons might need to go, to make the left menu-bar higher up.
