give it some time...they are trying to decide whether or not to allow it.

i say they should allow it BUT with size restrictions. if thats possible ofcourse. the sigs are a cool thing to have and it kinda helps people to be "seen". my vote goes for images allowed in sigs BUT with restrictions - BUT then again - who gives a **** about my vote lol

I don't know about anyone else, but....

I hope they limit the size, so threads don't get too long & harder to read.
I like a good sig, like DJNOOCH above

(puts on flame proof jacket)
I also hope they prevent animated sigs & avatars.
I hate trying to read a thread & all this motion is going on; it's very annoying

DJNOOCH;

You've got a photo in your sig. HOW did you do it?

Thanks

OK, ignore the last post. I figured out how you did it. You have simplly posted your signature on your own web space, and included an IMG (in brackets) before, and another /IMG (again with brackets) after the URL of the picture, directly in the bottom of the post. Even if the signature section won't do it, the post and post reply will link to a picture. Here's the result:

Signitures can be good and BAD it really depends on the size restrictions... on my NWCustoms forums I have a restriction set like this...

"1. Signature must be PG-13 in nature

2. Signature image(s) must be no larger than 600 (wide) x 150 (tall) pixels in total size

3. Signature maybe be no longer than 250 characters in length, including BBCode"

This keeps signitures to a decent size for loading purposes and they don't take over the page!

On another forum I frequent, it is common practice to show one’s signature on their first post only. For subsequent posts, the used un-checks the “show your signature”. This helps to keep the loading speed up and I don’t know about the rest of you but I only need to see someone’s signature once in a thread.

If the avatars get enabled, that should be a good visual queue for members to easily recognize who is posting.

Now you have the signature...

I think signatures should be allowed, as long as the size isn't too big. If space is a problem, then have it hosted somewhere else and link it!
