Market place needs to be more strict... mods and admins help

I was looking through the market place and a lot of people dont have pictures... yet the thread have not been locked or closed.
I know when I first posted some stuff for sale, my thread got deleted because I did not have the username, date and site written on a piece of paper next to the item.

If we enforce this it will reduce scams.

If you see a Marketplace thread that doesn't meet the requirements per the rules please click the button in the top right of the first post and it will alert the staff. We can't catch every instance of people not following the Marketplace rules. Thanks.

The Staff can't be everywhere and read every thread so we need to rely on the members to use the "report post" button when they see any improper posts. When the report post feature is used by a member, that post or thread is automatically posted in the Staff section. We monitor it very closely and usually take pretty quick actions if warranted.

Ah nice, I won't feel so conflicted on using that button to report those classified threads anymore. IIRC, the wording for using the button is for reporting advertising/spam/harrassment etc ONLY.

Mods, get ready to be bombarded LOL!!!!

I made a thread for that asking if mods could make separate market places for sedans and coupes when it comes to exterior parts, they said they would look into it & never did much about it :/

I like my350z's new rules. EVERY for sale thread must be approved by a moderator.. That way, there are no confusions..

Just seeing/hearing about this now for the first time. Not surprising though as I was absent from the forum for a number of months. Leave this one with me.

Ugh, that sounds like a Staff nightmare if you ask me. It might be great in theory, but with the amount classifieds that are posted here in the run of a week, I highly doubt the Staff would have the bandwidth to stay on top of it along with all of the other forum moderation that is required on a daily basis.

If the sellers are willing to wait, bring it. I think a lot of members think there are an Army of staff here policing every thread.

In reality, there are very few of us, here at different times through the day, watching hundreds and hundreds of threads.

The "notify" flag works wonders.

That's the thing, I would hate to have a member have to potentially wait days before their classified gets approved. As you've eluded to, there are just a small number of us doing this on our free time.
