8-16-11 outage?

Just wanted to clarify something and ensure that I'm not crazy. I couldn't access 'driver from multiple locations (home, work, 2 different cell phones) today for most of the morning and afternoon. Ditto for my350z.com.

Pinging the sites (both of which apparently run off the same IP address?) led to ping time-outs.

Please lemme know if there really was an outage, or if I was temp-banned somehow, or what happened.

Thanks!

There was definitely an outage. I was able to get on very early this morning, but got a few texts and emails from various members throughout the day stating that they were unable to log on. I tried a couple times at work and on my phone and wasn't able to log on either. If I get any info on what caused the outage I'll definitely pass it on to you guys.

As promised I'm sharing information with you that I've learned about the outage from IB.

Something in the network failed, and brought down every single IB site. It is possible that their sites, including g35driver, may go down or run slow tonight as they adjust things.

At least back in the outage of 2008 my350z was still running....today - just work <shudder>

I suspected it would happen soon... for the past week or so I've had the same symptoms that appeared in the past just before problems (as noted in the "pages load slow" thread)...

I dont bother mentioning it anymore though - because instead of taking it for what it is "a heads up that something is wrong", all I ever get is "complain much?"... funny how people are like that... too bad they cant take it for what it is - giving help so someone can be proactive to rectify... I guess it's easier to wait until the problem gets worse

Nahhh....you guys just had a temp ban (courtesy of Socalwdup) and don't act like it wasn't a good thing. You were probably a lot more productive today at work then other days thanks to G35/my350z going down.

Anonymous launched a denial of service attack against driver and my350z to protest against premier membership fees and the outburst of redundant, noob-created threads.
