not a day goes by? bombarding? vandalize? wow...
I'd just like to add our threads haven't been "bumped" in over a week & we have only one thread open per sub-model, nor do we think we have any right to do the above key words.

we try our damnedest to interact with the users every chance we get and promise to do a better job at it.
we will also ONLY post in our threads with information, photos, or other substance based bumps.

I don't know about gary c, but I hope some of you can see/appreciate our efforts in making this better here on out.

What is with Adam's Rotors posting in every section of the forum? Come on man, enough is enough.

We do appreciate the support. But spamming the forum and posting in every section is taking it to far.

we're simply bumping a single thread in your sub-forum.

realize we are paid vendors and ultimatley the ones that fund & support these very forums for you all to use.
many sites actually allow & promote in-forum adverts as it is a way for the vendor to reach its customers & interact directly.

we make large investments every 6-12 months with forums sponsorships and sticking us in vendor-only sections DRASTICALLY effects our reach and truly discourages us from even being a vendor in the first place.
we are a business and we love to support the forums with both knowledge/info & product...we just want all to see what we have to offer & mean no harm in posting a thread per model.

Uh-oh. I guess you didn't notice the title of this thread wasn't about your Company per se but about something that was a concern to a Member who's been on this site since Feb. 2005, now I don't know when things started here on Driver but I bet he signed up pretty darn near day one.

In the post before your Company was mentioned for the first time there was some excellent advice for Vendors by a Vendor. After your Company was mentioned it wasn't referred to again in the next 4 posts but there was again some excellent advice for Vendors who were starting to **** Members off.

You've put yourself in the crosshairs with your reply, you made your Company the focal point of a thread that was a generalization in origin. After your reply there was some advice given on how you could rectify concerns Membership was having with your Company's aggressive marketing tactics

It does get rather annoying to see a full page of a vendor bumping his threads daily.

Uh-oh. This guy's been around since Feb.2005 also, read the last part of his post. Understand?

Vendors aren't expected to stay within the vendor marketplace- but that's where their marketplace style spam should be restricted as a courtesy to the rest of the community. I look down the driver main forum page and I see the adds in half a dozen sub forums... and they're all just "BIG SALE, ALL PMS REPLIED... MID DAY BUMP!" in some sedan forum. C'mon.

You don't spread a good word about your business by bombarding the community with useless threads- There are P P PLENTY of those in here already. Leave the hard sell crap in the vendor marketplace.

Put your business name in your sig with a link to your page and meander at leisure through the ranks of the forums helping people out like the other successful vendors do. As you begin to build the trust of the community, they will come to you.

Uh-oh. Ian is right, you're bombarding the sub-forums and he gave you the best advice possible in the last two paragraphs of his post. When an aggressive marketing campaign is failing and the Market is telling you it's failing and how to fix it it's generally a good idea to listen

Vendors like Phil@Grubbs, he's here often answering questions about product members are looking for and we appreciate his helping! If we need brakes we know where to find the vendors on our MARKETPLACE. If someone needs brakes or anything I direct them to our vendors because of the availability, quality and price. Did I really need to see the Adams rotors add first thing Monday morning on our coupe page? Instant aggravation, "well here he is again!"

Definately agree with you on Phil@Grubbs. One of the best vendors on here and also very helpful just with responses when people need help, i.e. identifying parts, part numbers or issues to check up on. I also appreciate reading his feedback on what people post about happenings w local dealerships(right vs. wrong).

I think vendors have just as much right to post whatever they want within their own thread just as I want to be able to post whatever I want within my own thread. I mean look at all the dumb threads and posts on here throughout the day. Youy guys are coming off really sensitive to something that doesnt seem like that big of a deal to me...

Now, I have read through this whole post and I personally think adamsrotors called THEMSELVES out on the first page. I dont know why they did this but it makes me see what you guys mean, I can see where the members are coming from. If thats how they want to run their marketing on here, I really couldnt care less. But the bottom line is: it doesnt make me want to buy any more/less from them.

I have never noticed Jose @ IONIC or COZ @ ConceptZ posting adds on the coupe or sedan pages and to my knowledge Strafe/Mr.Wong does a considerable amount of business here on DRIVER without "In your face" frequent adds....

there are several vendors that do this, same issue on my350z. You can click "new posts" and an entire page of 30 threads is from the same vendor. I swear there are 2 vendors that are run by the same person since their threads get bumped at the same time.

Adams rotors definitely made their presence known on my350z as well.

It's very annoying and makes me want to never do business with them. From the looks of it he copied and pasted the same info to every thread.

amen to that...

---

this is so silly, really.
who said anything about being called out or being put in the cross-hairs? we were mentioned here and we addressed it head on.
...it's funny but we're one of the few vendors who even gave a damn to reply, notice that?
noone is complaining about it, we're well aware of what we did...but instead now everyone is making a deal of it.

some people seem to really have nothing better to do than whine into their computer screens over the internet.

there it is, my point exactly...and on top of that, who's holding the proverbial gun to anyones head to even open the thread?
if it's so against your desired way to be approached so be it...enjoy your off the shelf replacement rotors and move on.
we have a single thread per sub-model. you own 1 car, why can't we reach out to each model/generation G35 owner here?
so then a once a week thread bump is so terrible? I'm sorry you have to see the thread title pop up. get over it...really.

for those who think our threads are so pointless/over-the-top/aggressive, note the replies from users within.
we get a ton of traffic, replies, and even more PM's & emails thereafter; the entire point of our threads.

...you can never please em all, but I'm coming to realize it's more the few people in this thread that are the issue.

godspeed,
-a
