I was at my Dealer yesterday getting my one year service. They charged me $95 and since I got the 3K oil change for free, my one year maintenance expense for the G is around $100. Not bad since they gave me a nice G35 loaner for each service. Anyway I was talking to the Sales Manager at the Dealership and inquired about the '07 coupe. He told me that he hasn't heard anything official yet, but since the '07 sedan will have 300 HP, it's logical that the '07 coupe will have more. If Infiniti bumps it up to around 330, I'll probably get one.

Isn't the new coupe doesn't come out till the 08 model year and the 07 coupe will be the same as the current 06 model? This is what I got from all the talk regarding the concept coupe.

No... don't believe ANYTHING the dealer tells you.

When's the last time you met a car salesman who knew anywhere near as much as you do about their own brand and models?

All just speculation anyways sedan will have more than 300 anyways (it has to compete with the IS350 my reasoning) - Motor Trend

at the auto show i talked to the infiniti people and they made it official that the GT-R (skyline) will be a NISSAN world wide so there is your info for that so we will still have the coupe and i hear its to have a 3.7 or 3.8 VQ so that should put us at 330 or so at the crank...i think they should just put the 4.0 in it anyway...and the concept we seen is about 85% of the production car...we going to see the VQ motor grow over the next 3 years as different variations come out...

Thats BS.

Nobody has yet officially announced the HP rating of the new 07 G sedan. The Sedan will most likely have as much or nearly as much HP as the 08 G Coupe.

The 07 Sedan will definately have more then 300 hp. Do you really think Infiniti will be that dumb to only add 2 HP to the future G35 line-up?
