However the first car to be sold will be to me !

I'll prob be the first guy to be driving around SJ in the new coupe... well for a few hrs or days at least !

I know its a little early but did you guys lock in a price? MSRP.... under MSRP?
Or are the dealers not committing to anything because they think they will be able to charge above MSRP?
Thanks for the info. I am ready to plunk down some cash to reserve one as well but I just want to know what to expect.
TIA...

Talked to Carl (sales person)

and I was expecting to get 1k under msrp , since im a return customer.

his response summerized... no way... however they will be competitive with other dealers .

so there isnt going to be any deals until the parking lots are saturated. I know we/he has wiggle room in my car so I expect the front end to be MSRP or slightly less $250- but the back end should be slightly higher then expected above blue and/or black book.

If they cant show me 1k reduction then I'll wait 3 months. but im sure we'll make a deal that gives me the 1k off.

dont think they will charge over MSRP... but you never know.

if you guys lol want a picture of the reservation... I can post that

take care

my deal was just a refundable 1k down. no talks at all about pricing. i have no problem with holding out for a better price also.

not eager... well ok yeah

but seriously the main factor for me was my desire for a manual. traded a stick prelude and found the auto experience lacking. If I'm going to drop 40k on a car I better like every bit of it.

Thing is... nobody knows the tranny that will be in the 08 coupe... hell could be cvt or dual clutch for all we know ?!?

i'm definitely eager... i'm driving a 99 Accord, so you could understand.

no deal was made on my part. deals will be made when they finally receive stock.

If your eager, I must be insanely desperate! I drive a 93 Mazda MX-6 and I am # 3 in line at my dealer with 1K down and for MSRP, nothing over

I can't believe you'd tie up money on a car you haven't even seen or driven.

Different strokes for different folks I guess - congrats - I hope the wait doesn't make you go insane!

I actually did the same thing Bob. I put down a deposit on my 07 Sedan over five months before I got it. I did see pictures of it first though.

LOL, I think you know the answer to that one Tom. The only thing that I am not happy with is that I am not driving it now.
