I was in for service today and since I know the GM, I went to his office to ask about the '08 G coupe. He told me that he doesn't know what the new price wil be, but expects just a nominal increase, and he also said that he was told to expect the first car to be delivered to his Dealerhip in July.

Infiniti will simply ship cars to various Dealerships to create some interest. He already knows my interest in the new G, so he will give call me as soon as the date is definate and I'll share it with the forum unless it's already public knowledge. I'll be interested in the HP and torque of the new G and if it's competitive with the 335, I'll be buying.

He also showed me a web site picture of the new G with the smoothed out front bumper as opposed to the one that almost came to a point in the earlier release.

 

Did you get to see an actual picture or a sketch?

It goes on and on, and I think that Nissan wants it that way. The more hype, the more interest, the more we write and search like crazy for a spec of hard data. Until the real thing hits the dealer floor, or in this case NYC show, it's all guessing, and it's all we have.

But it's true that it can outrace an Enzo, I talked to this guy, who knows......
