im sorry i didnt catch that. You're saying you cannot upload files larger than 512 MB, or it doesnt read cards larger than 512 MB?

When you insert a CF card into the slot, the audio system itself won't recognize anymore than 512 files on your CF card. So for example, if you have a 8GB CF card and have 1000 MP3s loaded on it, it will only recognize and play the first 512 files. That's why I chose to buy two 2GB CF cards and not one 4 or 8GB cards. Who knows if the G37 will share this restriction though.......but my guess is that it will.

I remember my first song. I made sure to have the cd with me after I bought the car. It was Neil Young - My My, Hey Hey.

Yep, you can play videos or view pictures just fine on the LCD..........just not while you're driving.

Any word Canuck? CD-RW playback

But i think we cannot transfer from the CF stick to the 9 gig HD directly. In the 07 sedan, the only way to get mp3s onto the HD is by putting an actual audio CD (not mp3 disk) into the in-dash cd player and ripping it from there.

Of course a burned audio CD-R will be ok, but I wonder if it can read from a CD-RW. That way i wont hafta waste so many CDs gettin 9 GB of music on that thing! I'm sure someone will find some hack down the road to transfer from CF to the HD.

I learned most of this from readin the 07 sedan forums, but maybe Canuck can chime in about wether the system can read audio CDs that are burned onto a CD-RW.

How about Kenny G in your new G. Just pay attention not to fall asleep at the wheel. Or you can go completely wild and play the last Barry Manilow compilation.

Ok, so a CF card will work. Got worried from a previous post saying that the only way to get them on there is by ripping them straight from a CD. If that is true, would a DVD work the same?
