when i spoke to the order mgr at my dealer he mentioned most first allocations were not coming with NAV.. only PREM... and definately not TECH. Most of the group would not be 6mt either as those tip shifters are what they're pushing. Another hint was that email i received saying infiniti was having a hard time getting nav and camera parts together for the june group. All of that points to an assortment of lower-end g37s bound for dealers come aug.

All the more reason that I was able to order mine with the 5AT and only the option package I wanted...still hard to believe!

Welcome to the growing 'about to be owners club'. I hope the wait is not too painful, but seeing how many new posts BM is putting up, I would believe he is up nights walking his pad looking out the window and counting the hours, minutes, seconds...

As for msrp - you got the deposite back option, so I would bet when it hits the lot they wont outprice it that quick or badly. Many new cars will be right behind, and timing is not great for a RW coupe to hit the market. I am betting there will be plenty of stock on lots by fall, which is when i plan to start making the deal. I am 75% there, but dont want to buy w/o driving it and dont have to be first to own it.

I am counting my own time down to ownership, but it will have to wait a little longer then your new wheels, good luck.

And just for the GC cause I know he will keep looking for it

Thats why I only left 300 dollar deposit! 1000k for a car you have never seen or driven an dhave no idea about msrp is a little nerve racking to say the last, so I threw caution to the wind, and was able to only leave 300 bucks....August is soooooooooo far away!

Im just wondering if you guys have experienced this. I called my dealer about 2 months ago asking about the deposit on the g37. the guy explains to me it is a refundable deposit and i would have 3 days to make my decision on the car. i call today and spoke to another salesman who tells me the deposit is a non refundable, but tells me i would receive a car out of the first batch.

I finally got my actual order number today assigned to me from my deposit some time ago. The actual order contains my black/black sport 5A/T with Premium and NAV. He said they may be getting customer cars and allocation cars at the same time and still predicted end of August. He dosen't think we will see the actual prices 'til late July. I guess the new Q56 prices arrived just prior to the arrival of the new Q and he thinks the same may happen with the new G. That's all I know for now other than I'm going to go buy some chrome polish!!!

Why would this surprise you? 95% of the guys who sell cars know almost nothing about cars, and have very little experience in the job. Go to almost any Dealership and you'll find new faces in the showroom every month. There are some lifers, but they are mostly at the high end Dealerships and are the exception to the rule. So bottom line is that the average guy on this forum will know a lot more about the G37 and even about matters like deposits, than the average salesguy will. Unless some State has a law to the contrary, I believe that the law in virtually every State requires Dealerships to return deposits in the event that the buyer no longer wants the car, notwithstanding anything that a saless guy may tell you. More than likely the sales guy who gave you the bogus info about deposits, will be selling vacuum cleaners at Sears within a month or two.
