Hmmm... I can't find the test for Edmunds. Car and Driver's 2003 G35 coupe review doesn't have specifications.Originally Posted by smokedhen
thanks for the video! the numbers aren't too impressive. I wonder what numbers they had for the 1st gen.
Oh wait I found some...
G35 coupe 0-60: 6.0 seconds
G35 coupe 1/4 mile: 14.6
G37 coupe 0-60: 5.3 seconds
G37 coupe 1/4 mile: 13.9

Can anyone please get a pic of the car from the Edmunds website and then photochop the lower so that it would be lowered? I'm curious at to what it would look like. Thanks! And by lowered I don't mean sitting on the tires low hehe. I'm just looking for a nice drop that is sensible.

Motorweek article on the 07 G35 5AT:Originally Posted by LudwigB

0-60 is 5.7. 1/4 mile in 14.2 at 101.

thats some weak performance from 330HP even though its auto which shouldn't be to much off from manual systems...Must be the weight?
Edit: Looks like C&D also had their 6 speed G37 at 13.9 also.

If you're looking for faster speed times.... then torque is the thing that really matters.Originally Posted by G37Knight

14.6? I can do better than that! I'm really hoping this test was conducted in poor conditions & elevation, because for a "professional driver", that time is very weak.Originally Posted by Yimbie

Most rate the 03-06 Coupe 6MT to 14.2 @ 100 mph.
Best I've seen a stock G35 do is 13.89 @ 101 mph in negative Density Altitude.

Thats an incorrect statement. Well, there's much more to it than that.Originally Posted by Yimbie

I would love to get into the torque vs horsepower debate, but its just so complicated that it turns any thread into a mess.

Anyways, pretty sure the g37 is faster than that! I can't wait for someone on the board to have one and tell us his/her opinion!

Me too. It's nice to see more pics of the G37 in red. I like comparing the pics from Stillen and from the Edmunds review and see how the lighting affects how the car appears to the visual senses.Originally Posted by Queenskid24

I don't know what to think after these tests...The new Sedan feels tons faster than the current gen coupe when I drive it though. erhaps the new gen coupe will feel the same...
On an auto there is the breakin period whereas you don't get optimum performance- so those times will get faster on it.
