I was thinking the exact same thing. The members on this forum are not the majority of car buyers. Some people will not like the car, that is the case with any car. Infiniti made the car to appeal to the market they want as their customers, and obviously some of the members on this board are not in that market, whatever it may be. As a whole Infiniti is being credited with doing an awesome job, and I totally agree. This forum is not representative of the auto market. I doubt Infiniti will have too many concerns because a small minority of people on a forum don't like the car. A far larger majority of the mass market will like the car, and that is what is important to Infiniti.

Thats what YOU think, YOUR opinion. For more open-minded people and non-fanboys, this is a hell of a car. Great interior, great exterior looks, rich in technology, great handling, great power, almost exotic exhaust note, for the money, there is simply no better car. Go back into your lil G35 fanboy cave kid, youre simply just mad your car is inferior in every way possible to a new generation car.

If you really want the rest of the 59 pounds back and think it will make such a large difference then take out what BMW has neglected to put in their 335i:
Beautiful Dash and interior aesthetics~10 pounds total
de-weld the ALL the extra side impact door piping which will probably be ~30 pounds
LSD ~ 7 pound savings for non lsd conversion based on aftermarket bmw lsd upgrade.
The rest of the 10 pounds is up to you.
(school's in)

First of all, the specific gravity of gasline is .739 - and water is 8 pounds per gallon. So gasoline is about 5.9 pounds per gallon. That's why it floats on water, genius.

Second, gas tanks are made of metal, not medal. Although medals can and usually are metal.

Third, so are you saying the 335i doesn't have side impact door beams? You're 100% wrong. What you are thinking about is the article that states why the coupe's doors are heavier COMPARED to the sedan's doors.

Fourth, most published curb or test weights are not always with a full tank... so to minimize the effects of different sized tanks. Read the fine print. Different sources use different methods. Sometime the vehicle is actualy weighed, sometimes just the manufacturer weight is substituted. Sometimes, a test source will also include the weight of the driver in it's published figures.

Fifth, I wouldn't mind if the car was 100 pounds heavier and had twin turbos... Again, apples to apples, the G37 is heavier AND doesn't have to deal with all the turbo hardware. Point is... for engineering comparison's sake... the G37 is about 200 pounds heavier than a naturally aspirated 335 would be. Too bad.

Damn the backside of my hand hurts.

(school's out)

A famous american once said

" I may disagree with what you have to say, but I will fight to the death your right to say it "

Let the guy air, its what we are all doing. Some say Yea, some say nay, and others say WTF were they thinking?

I dont care that anyone might not like it, and at least he has given a dozen reasons why - there are other posters you guys should have more 'against' who not only have said they don't like it, but have predicted doom and gloom for the sales and future of this car.

With some simple design changes, it could be us Infiniti wannna bes (w/ apoligies to current owners who also want the new 37s) who would be here griping about its looks, sound, speeds, costs, etc. . .

This is a public forum, it will get haves and have nots, rich and poor, modders and quite little old ladies from pasadena.... well maybe not her.

We can all have our own opinions, and anyone who is an owner already has money in the game already, and into the company so they have a right to gripe, its a national past time don't ya know....

Long Live freedom to bitch, ooops, bet that got sensored....

That guy is not airing out, dam near every thread and what feels like every post its almost guaranteed he will post something negative that he's posted like 50x before. I dont define that as airing, I think the better term would be a broken record. And usually when someone follows it up that many times, its a "i inherently know its an all around better car that what i have, but let me keep on hating on it so I feel better about what I have" kind of thing, at least with his attitude thats what it implies.

A serious question: Do you think the g37 is better or worse than the g35? Question is better or worse, hopefully the answer wont include some of the chart answer...
