If the G35 Sedan is anything to go by, the 37 will be a substantial upgrade over the current model. While I like the looks of the current model better, I still think the 37 is no ugly duckling.
0-60 is interesting. However, I find 0-100 and 0-130 more of an indication of what a car is capable.
The G37 does 130 in under 25 seconds. The car is making some decent power.

On the interior, we know that the 37 is a huge improvement, albeit without some of the quirkiness that added character to the original.

I say Infiniti did a decent job with this car and will attract even more potential buyers, perhaps from different niches.
The added weight is a big bummer. However, with that weight comes more refinement while retaining much of the same handling prowess of the original.
This is not an EVO or STI, and it doesn't try to be.

yea but you arent even sure about the 100-130 speeds we are sure times are going to be 0-60 in 5.1-5.5. actually we arent even sure

now where are you going to hit 130 with a g37 def not in a qauter maybe on your way home but i doubtt racing some1 u can hit 130 maybe once in a bluee moonn..

yea iterior is nice i didnt say anything about that.. not even nice gorgeous i said they should just plain out make a SPORT COUPE which can beat out the bimmer n lexus like it always did until the new gen.. people just stepped it up higher than infiniti.. infiniti has some serious catching up to do and i cant even see it in the future bc now they are competing with turbos maybe infiniti cant compete with bimmers performance thats y they re did the interior..

and no its not trying to be an evo or sti but its trying to hold its name as an sport coupe competeting with lexus bimmer sport cars.. neva said competing with sti or evoo

Have you seen or driven the altima? I haven't either but I am surprised at how bad the reviews have been. In fact, every one I read mentions specifically how it is no G35. Why would you cross shop an altima and a g35? Unless you are only a magazine racer or a performance number ***** - the car has nothing on the G.

sure the 335 has better 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, but what about top speed with more HP I think the G37 will pull away from the 335. Top speed is what I'm concerned about 100mph on.

look at the G35/350Z vs EVO/STI the G35/350Z will get murdered in the 1/4 but it has better top end and yes I know EVO/STI are AWD and 335 isn't.

I also disliked the G37 when I first saw it but know it's grown on me and the G35 was also no race car. In my openion wait until a year or two and I promise you'll see some different #'s. for know the 335 is faster but still lacks style (don't get me wrong it does have a nice look but its no wow) the G37 has more appeal inside and out. but none the less both are great cars.

0-150 is already known as is 0-120, etc. Read the reviews. It gets to 150 just as fast as the 335.

You are right though - who cares about 100-130? Then again who cares whether 0-60 is 5.0 or 5.5? Are you really going to rev to 5000 and drop the clutch at every light and say "wow, I hit 60 in 5.0 seconds. That guy next to me had to have his foot in the gas for 1/2 second more than me!!". You'll miss the comfort, convenience, sound, and amenities of the G before you miss the 0.5 seconds. Enjoy your Mustang.

I must agree with OP. Pathetic acceleration numbers and its a cow now.

Who cares what Infiniti's goals were for acceleration? If their goal was 5.5 0-60 then their goal wasn't very well planned. Why even mention the new engine when it literally does NOTHING for the car? Not better acceleration or fuel consumption.

I think a lot of us who are disappointed with the car will just flock on over to the 135 which will blow the G out of the water for the same price, and still have a good interior and exterior design.

I find it amusing that BMW is making a cheaper car that will go faster than its famous 3-series line. They're just making the car to bring people who don't have as much money to still get a BMW, which is a good business strategy.

The new VQ engine does quite well for having the same or slightly better acceleration than the outgoing G35 coupe on a car that's much heavier. According to Infiniti... the car will have 10% better MPG due to the VVEL technology. I don't understand where you're getting that it wont get better fuel economy because according to the people who created the engine... it will lol. Go ahead and go for the "mini" 3-series. I must say compared with the 135i, the 335i looks a lot better and not just a scrunched up model.

Go ahead with the 135i... I'm sure it will be a great head-turner on the streets... lol

Yea and our many reviews have stated many diff opinions on the g37 nothing is a fact yet until infintit realese there information like the 0-60 last i seen its a range from 5.1-5.5.. so im guessing the 0-100+ is also not a fact yett.. gets to 150 the same as a 335i i really dont who is hitting a 150 if so good luck with that thats absolutly pointless so i would care more about 0-100 or 0-130 rather than 150.. i really dont kno about any1 else and 1/2 a second decides which car is faster tthan which so if i have to rev up to 5000 rpms and drop the clutch to win im def doinn itt..

if infiniti did release FACTS some1 please tell me but i read diff in about 3-4 diff aritcles
