I had that in my FX but it was a different look since there was no grill in that car.

I wouldn't mind having that feature and sacrificing the "look" on my G37.

To state the obvious, It's up to the owner if the slight change in the the grille look is more important than having the use of ICC.

Guys it's not radar based cruise... its laser based (LIDAR).

Either way, it's gonna screw the most with owners who have Radar detectors or laser jammers... which is why im not getting the tech package. Don't care for ICC much...
however, the Adaptive headlights that you get with the package is pretty darn cool... i guess i'll hafta live without it tho.

I thought about getting the tech package, but the only thing I really wanted were the adaptive headlights. I decided that it was not worth the money to me, just to get the headlights!

that's a very good point chi.. most forget that most (not all) will require a big ole ugly a$$ plate on the front. all that complaining about sport/non-sport bumpers, radar square etc.. means nothing once you put that plate on. Yes.. some of you dont have to worry about it in your state..

I don't like using cruise control anyway. I've had it on all my cars and have never used it, except to try it out. My foot has to rest somewhere -- may as well be on the gas pedal.

That doesn't look good. They should have at least centered it

lights swivel horiz into the direction of a turn... kind of like the car Tucker built many years ago. Though i believe the tech in these cars considers speed as well as turning radius.

I read a while back about BMW testing adaptive headlights hooked up to nav.. so the lights knew where the turns were. cool stuff.

I did get the tech package, I got it for the Adaptive headlights foremost though. My brother's M35x has them and I just love that feature. I wasn't wild about the ICC but what can you do. You guys in the states are lucky though, in Canada we have one package you add on the premium, Nav+Tech, you have to take them both or nothing at all. Kind of crummy but at least you know you have all the toys to play with. With the ICC though, I'm more scared of rocks flying up in there and smashing the thing all up!
