I ordered my G37 Journey without the Sport option because I like the wheels, front-end and probably smoother ride on the standard model and you can get the Rosewood option. I like the richness of the Rosewood as I am into the sport/luxury look. I could see getting the Sport option if you like to push the car to it's limits but that would happen very rarely for me. Does the Sport option offer something the everyday driver would notice? Something tells me the biggest thing I might miss is the limited slip differential because of the wet roads in Seattle. Is that true?

Hmmm... well for the everyday driver I don't think it would really matter.

Well to be honest, that is a personal decision that you have to make. Only you know your likes/dislikes and personal driving style.

Go back to your dealer and drive the sedan with sport suspension. It is the same as stock coupe suspension. If that works for you, then, yes, other than missing the lsd, you should be okay. If not, then change your order. Historically, the wood will be available as a dealer option as well as from the aftermarket. Also, there will be other front ends, if you want to change the looks.

I doubt you will, I highly doubt the G37S will be any faster then a G37 non-sport in a straight line, if anything the G37S will be heavier. The G37S's advantages are primarily in handling, the 19's with dedicated summer's, LSD and sportier suspension. If you're not a huge fan of the twisties then you're fine, albeit the G37 non-sport will still perform great in the turns. You'll only miss the LSD if you like to power through corners hard or if you like to take slippery/wet corners while accelerating. Even then the absence of it won't make much of a difference in everyday driving. The one item I might see a non-sport buyer wanting is the paddle shifters, but just as a cool toy as the shifter will work fine as well.

Given your preferences, you might feel pangs of regret it in a "grass is always greener..." sense, but ultimately it sounds like you'll be happier with the non-Sport version.

the 14" brake are standard on all the models too or is it only the sport?

I think the seats in the non-sport and different and better in my opinion. Of course, it should be a smooth ride as well.

That's good to know. I also hear the standard coupe has the 13" brakes and 18" wheels of the sport sedan. So it seems to me the standard coupe is pretty sporty but the sport coupe would be the ultimate in performance for those that like to push there car to the limits.

I keep thinking.... Manual, or Automatic.. Manual, or Automatic.. My car will be daily driven too. But I think i'll opt for the 6mt. But I'm thinking long run here, Will I enjoy the 6mt or auto better in the long run...
