Exactly, and if you've owned or driven a G35C you know that is brutally true. The G37's interior is in lightyears ahead of the G35C.

Yeah. If anyone has trouble deciding between getting the 07 coupe and 08 coupe where price isn't a big factor... then the interior would be the biggest factor. I'd be surprised if someone actually argued that the G35 interior was better than the G37.

BTW that statement is meant to be completely rhetorical.

Yes I can attest that the interior of the 07 is much better than the 03-04 as well as the 05-07

Much better is an understatement, the interiors on the 07 Sedan and 08 G37 are in my eyes, class leading, especially with all the technology+price.

Oh I agree. I do like the Lexus IS interior though... it's quite nice with fine materials. If only BMW changed the big hunk of plastic in the middle of the car... then I may like it. Besides the Lexus IS, I can't really see an interior that really competes with the G37's. Remember, this is all my opinion.

I haven't seen the interior as it is shown in that pic...

I think that white(tan?)/black interior is GORGEOUS.

The only thing I don't like about the stone interior is that the headliner is still tan otherwise it would be great. But with the black dash, stone seats and flooring and then the tan headliner- that's just a little too busy for me. I do like the graphite interior much better because of that. Although you still have the tan headliner, at least its not a third color- just two tone.

LOL... Nice. take my critique and barf all over it with absolutely no substance or discussion. So what if the public buys the car? I'm talking about the qualities that an enthusiast would look at and judge a car by. It's obvious that Nissan is spending big bucks courting favorable media coverage by whoring out their G37/335i mules to various magazines. I've read the Road & Track, Car & Driver, Automobile, and the one you posted. From these reviews, it's obvious that there is some level of rebellion regarding the general assertion that the G37 is on par or above the 335i offering from BMW. With the G35, Nissan was aggressive by offering a driver's enthusiast car on par with BMW's handling capabilities and offered more power and value through significant less cost. With the G37, my opinion is that Nissan focused on the interior and normalizing the G to fit in with the rest of the Infiniti lineup. In that focus, they ballooned the weight by 300+lbs and the power/weight ratio has barely changed with no significant improvement in road handling capabilities due to the weight increase. So your "truth" is only subjective and fleeting to market acceptance. My opinion is based on my own interpretation of the reviews and technical specs, not some "me too" bandwagon.

i hear ya on the multi-color theme going on in there. i talked about this a while back in another thread.. i expect that most cars have light colored headliners to avoid the car feeling smaller than it is. like painting a room or hallway dark.. it makes it feel tight and confined. i have a black/graphite on order.. if the roof were black or another dark color.. it might feel a tad bit tight... though.. i'm not a designer!

IMO the G35 coupe's interior isn't that bad compared to other makes, of course the new G has a superb layout and quality of materials on par with a Lexus or Acura which have great dashboard designs, but to slam it is a little far fetched. In fact the more spartan look of the old G befits its sporty nature and avant-garde body design. Nothing quite like it on the road YET!!

I like the new interior. I like the old interior. Both attached. I guess I'm not that picky...

I've seen some really nice early model interiors done up in show cars and they look amazing - if you really want to spend money on something that looks just fine to start with. To each their own

i wont argue your point..only to say.. that I slammed my 2003g coupes interior just about every time i had a chance. I felt short-changed.. as it was a package deal.. i loved the overall cars looks and performance. but had to live with its jeckyl-and-hyde flaw.. nice on the outside.. crappy on the inside.

I think you have that backwards my friend. The 335 is much more mod friendly than the G37. Just look at our G35s and how you get minimal gains after spending thousands on plenums, headers, exhaust, intakes, etc. I've looked long and hard at both the G37 and 335 as a replacement for my G35 and to me it's a no brainer. The 335's twin turbo inline 6 has huge potential, and as a former 300ZXTT and Supra turbo owner I know how easy it is to make a car like this go fast. So far, 335s with a Procede reflash are running 107-109mph trap speeds. With an intake, downpipes, exhaust, and reflash they are running in the mid 12's at 113mph. I have seen modded 335s walk away from a C6 Vette and 997 Carrera S. I'm not saying the 335 is a better car, it's just much easier to make it really fast compared to the normally aspirated G37 engine. Just look at what the 2JZGTE supra engine can do. The only way you are going to get major horsepower out of a G37 would be to slap on a supercharger or turbo kit which I'm sure people will do but it's a major project compared to a few bolt ons for the 335. I was ready to get a used E46 M3 until I started seeing how much horsepower the 335 guys are generating. They are already hitting 400hp and 400 ft/lbs TQ and we are in the very early stages of mods for this car. I can't wait to get one. By the way, anyone in the market for my 04 G35C 6spd???
