Since Official Pricing is released, what do you guys think about...

Leasing numbers?
Any estimations?
Will it stay like their current $299 / mo offer for the base?

For the guys working at the dealerships, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Id like to get the 6spd, spoiler, sports, and tire / wheel package

All depends on pricing though...

There are some estimates on other threads. IIRC, they're closer to $700 for the sport optioned out and a little less for the base. I would think you're looking more at a Versa or a Sentra in that price range.

LOL no definitely not a versa
My question was more at relative pricing? The current model deals can be had for 299 / mo w/ 2700 down for 2 yrs, just wondering how the prices would be relative to that.
700 / mo for a is a bit extreme. Two owners of businesses that i work with lease a 750li and a8 and their payments are 1000 /mo and they dont put any money down....I hope thats a complete guess.
Matter of fact the A8 guy is tradin in for a fully loaded hybrid rx and his monthly payment no money down on that is 750? lol....

Definetely not $700's. I'm thinking it'll be in the $450~, considering the 07 was being leased for $400~.

I wouldn't think '07 coupe lease prices would be relevant. They wanted to dump the cars they had because they knew the new one would be coming.

It all boils down to the terms of the deal.

I would expect the $550 - $700 range though.

Just for example (NOT actual dealer numbers!):
$42,850 total price (6MT premium, nav, tech, destination)
$39,350 net cap cost ($3,500 down)
36 month term
56% residual
0.0029 MF (6.96% APR)
8.25% tax rate
------------------
$660.55/mo.

Up residual to 60% and it becomes $614.39/mo.

$0 down, 60% residual = $730.62/mo.

6MT + delivery only ($36,300) with $0 down, 60% residual = $618.94/mo.

same as above with $3,500 down = $502.71/mo.

Again, these only show how the different variables can have a dramatic impact on the monthly payment -- NOT what deals you may actually get from the dealer (might be better, might be worse).

Are you by any chance a finance guy?
Can you break down how you got ur numbers?
What does MF stand for and where did you reach that figure from?

LOL, sure you don't want a Versa???

$700 might be a little high. I was also thinking no money down though too. I think $299 is more "extreme" than $700 however.
Why don't you call a dealer and find out? I would but my Canadian prices wouldn't help you and I know you would like them a lot less.

Yeah, no kidding Deane. A fully loaded G37 with zero down would definitely be around the $1k mark here.

^^ In Illinois we have to pay 100% of the tax as well which will bump a 36 month lease by another $100+....

That's why I pay cash...

I used assumptions for all lease variables. No, I am not a finance guy, but I have done some work with dealers to where I know how they calculate lease payments. The calculations are actually a bit complex, but I have an Excel file that does it for me. They are all assumptions, but should be pretty close to accurate if the terms of the deal are the same.

Here is a good link for more info on lease payment estimating:
http://www.edmunds.com/advice/leasin...5/article.html

MF = Money Factor (it is APR/2400) -- in this case an APR of 6.96%

Yes, I have found a dealer who will lease the new G37 for $299/mo. The dealer is in Disneyland, I can't remember the name, but it is on Santa Claus lane and lease manager is the Easter Bunny.

I noticed that the dealership near me had it for $299 a month. But if you read the fine print you'll see that it requires an almost $6000 down payment.
