If someone really lusted after a tech package option, the fact that they have to spring for the prerequisites might make that option more expensive than it's worth to them. On the other hand, if someone wants everything they're getting on a loaded car, then it might well be seen as a bargain compared to what other comparable cars would cost. If the interior were studded with diamonds for $10,000 more, even if that represented a good value for the added jewels, I personally wouldn't consider that option a "good deal" because I'd have no interest in a diamond-studded interior. That's obviously an extreme example but I think the logic follows for other items in bundled packages.

Mine is running just over 44k. 10k in accessories/options is alot if you ask me.
But you do get a lot with the car as it is. |
