G37 Accessories

There was earlier post from someone (and I cant seem to find it) that somehow implied that splashguards and trunkmat were essentially coming on all of the G37's shipped.. also from all the recent photos i've seen, it would seem that is true..
Can someone (preferably any of you dealers poking around here :)) please confirm which of the following items (if any) are standard?
- IPOD adaptor cable
- splashguards
- cargonet
- trunk mat

Im not sure about the splash guards, but all the g37 I seen at the dealers had them so I wouldnt be shocked if they do. and the ipod adapter cable does come with the car.

The list I have here shows the base model doesn't have any "port installed" accessories.

Journey comes with splash guards, illuminated kick plates and trunk cargo net.

Sport 6MT comes with splash guards, illuminated kick plates, rear spoiler, trunk cargo net and a trunk mat.

It looks like the ipod connector comes std w/ the premium package.

a lot of cars are not ordered w/ illuminated kick plates -- just standard aluminum ones that say "INFINITI"

i know all our G37's are coming w/ splash guards and rear trunk mats

iPod connector is standard w/ premium -- it'll be available from the dealer soon i hope

The splash guards and rear trunk mat are not standard on the car but it seems dealers order them with it regardless. When I order my car a month or two back, they ordered the splash guards and trunk mat (along with the trunk net) although I told them I didn't want them. They told me if I didn't want them then that wouldn't be a problem but they were going to order it with it.

but do some of the packages "overlap" or is EVERYTHING a la carte?

I don't think that any of the packages overlap, but I could be mistaken.

When i built the G35c on the infiniti site, the nav package required the Premium package. This added almost 5k to the price of the car.

I'm not 100% on this, but I believe the technology package requires navigation package, the navigation package requires the premium package, the wood trim requires the premium package and graphite or wheat interior and can not be used on a sport model. And the 4 wheel active steer requires the premium package on a 6mt sport model and on the journey it requires the premium and sport packages.

If thats the way it is, unless you get a base model with no options, youre looking at $40k+.

RoCkY86 08-10-2007 03:02 PM

I wish people would stop saying 44k for fully loaded G37 is to much considering what you get and what the competition cost. A fully loaded 335i will cost you over 50k thats more than an QX56 suv. The new audi A5 will start at 40k and a clk350 mercedes stock will cost the same as an M45. and a fully loaded IS350 will run almost 48k.

I think it's reasonable to expect different people to have different opinions about whether the cost is "too much" or not. It depends on how much you value the various goodies. If someone really lusted after a tech package option, the fact that they have to spring for the prerequisites might make that option more expensive than it's worth to them. On the other hand, if someone wants everything they're getting on a loaded car, then it might well be seen as a bargain compared to what other comparable cars would cost. If the interior were studded with diamonds for $10,000 more, even if that represented a good value for the added jewels, I personally wouldn't consider that option a "good deal" because I'd have no interest in a diamond-studded interior. That's obviously an extreme example but I think the logic follows for other items in bundled packages.
