Break in poll

After reading the break in thread, I started to wonder how many have tried the specific fast break in vs by the book. I've always do it according to the manual and never had any problems, but would love to just drive.

Fairly interesting. for those who did the hard break in before, and obviously like the results for you are doing it again, how exactly did you do it?

follow the manufacturer's recommended break in. for the previous years coupes it was keep the rpms under 4k for 1,200 mi varying the rpms as you drive (city driving)

As this will be my first new car, I will probably do the break-in according to the manual.

Can't go wrong doing it by the book. That way when the 1200 miles are up it will be all the more sweeter to get on it.
