You couldn't tell Yimbie was being sarcastic?

In my opinion, the G35 looks even less similar to the Altima Coupe than the G37 does. God, some of you sound paranoid

Who cares about the little similarities? I know I don't

I'm sure all of this fuzz will go away after both cars are seen more regularly in the streets. I just can't imagine anyone confusing them after seeing both in person. The qualities and style of both cars are so different.

I like the G37, but I already murdered the G so its pointless to get another one, can only go up, next car is a CLS 63 AMG.

I just did the 60k services so... No, I won't be buying anything anytime soon. I will more than likely keep this car. And if I get it paid off, I will never sell it. It represents some really good things in my wife and I's life so... I hope we never get rid of it.

That said, Once it is paid off... I will be looking at the G37, Altima Coupe, A5, and a few others.

From a G35 to a G37 isn't a big step up, just a mild upgrade IMO.
When this baby mates a serious V8 or Twin Turbines to annoy the likes of Porsche and M3 beamers, only then I'll look into it.

M3s and Porsches are in a different class...you can't compare apples to oranges

yea.. i think you're driving the wrong car.. maybe you should consider buying a porche or an m3 instead of trying to make the g into something it's not. IMO.

The G37 is an entry-level luxury car. Not an exotic car like a porsche. You should consider those cars and stop comparing it to the G37. If you want to compare the G37 its in the same class as the 328i, IS350, and mercedes Clk. But I do think Infiniti is going to make a turbo. Hopefully sometime in the next year.

Of course they will, seems like some pure speculations on my part have upset a few people asking me to buy a porsche and not to compare cars of a different class and price range.
Perhaps I should have said: If infiniti makes such a high performance car, I'll consider it, not necessarily the G...Who wants to buy me a Bentley?

Whether it does or not, I know where you and many others are coming from. No one wants their prized possession to be mistaken for or associated with a car of less class/value (e.g. Altima, not knocking it tho). Obviously if it shared more similarity with the 350z I doubt their would be as many complaints.

Given that, I wonder how M3 owners feel.. the fact that typical passerby's cant tell it apart from a regular 3 series.. and for 335i owners their car is more or less identical to a much weaker 328i (apart from the exhaust)...

I test drove the 2008 G37 at Miller Infiniti. In my opinion, the car looks very similar to the 2008 Nissan Altima coupe. In respect they both come from the same manufacture, but the designers should change the body style. The Altima coupe is going to be in the same situation as the Scion tC (poor man's G35).

Anyways, here are some comparison shots.

You should put comparison shots from all angles... not just one. From what I can see... wheel arches are different, tail lights are different, head lights are different, side windows are different, lines are different, side sills are different, butt is different, and overall designs of the front and rear are different. It's the same with the G35 coupe also, but that's just my opinion.
