Can't make my mind! 08 G37 coupe AT or 08 328i coupe.. heelp!:)

Hey guys, i have been a proud owner of 05 g36 coupe for about 3 years but now i decided to move on...

Only i can't decide on my next purchase... So I decided to ask your opinions. Especially to those ones who owns or owned 2008 g37 coupe AT.
Some of you might experienced bmw as well.

they are mostly around the same price, however with g37 i seem to have more options and more power. In bmw the navi packages seems to be alittle more expensive.

I don't want to go for the 335 since it is more expensive and i heard some issues with that. so i am willing to sacrifice power.

I always wanted to drive bmw but i also fell in love with my g35 so one side of me says go with new thing and get a bmw( even with less performance) or got with the family again

What would you say about this choice? anything wrong with first year at g37s?

thank you in advance.

The only BMW I would drive is the M3 or no BMW at all. So I would go with the G37.

I'm pretty sure there are problems with BMW's in general, no matter which one you get, 335i or not.

G37 or 335i not the 328i, Ive driven all 3 cars and the 328i is very slow and not worth the money. G37 looks great but is horrible on gas mileage. Beautiful lines on the car and with the tech package it comes with everything you will need. The 335i has limited technology but handles great, it also gives you the best platform for performance mods ie.. Procede, meistershaft Those 2 alone will give the 335 almost 100hp for less than $4k. The style is a little dated and the interior is boring in my opinion.

Each has their pro's and con's, 2008 was the 1st year bmw rolled out their free service package but im not sure if its available on used cars. They both have their share of issues but overall I think the G is a much better car.

Personally I would take the 328 out 1st, then the 335 so you can forget all about that 328. Then go drive the G. Make sure to take the car through its paces so you can make an informed decision.

IF your still stuck on that 328 vs G37 there is no comparison.... G37 FTW

The G37 is overall a better car.

thank you for all the information guys.
I am looking in to g37s more now.

I get 23 mpg combined hwy and city....i don't consider that horrible for a car that will do 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. What's better?

You're surprised? Really? You know you posted on G35driver.com right? Go to any BMW forums and see what they say...I'm willing to bet they might favor the 328.

??

I swear you already posted a thread like this...

LMAO, the G does not go 0-60 even close to 4.9. Add about a half second to that.

a corvette with a 6.2L 420hp v8 gets mpg in the high 20s. And goes 0-60 in about 4.3 seconds. I take my motorcycle when I feel that gas price draining my wallet.

back on topic: g37 all the way, You will laugh at 328's once you get used to 300+hp. 335 is nice but I honestly trust nissan over bmw reliability any day. especially after 100k. So if you plan on keeping the car that long, I would steer clear of any new german cars.

The G37 is poorly built and has tons os issues

_RR_ Apr 12, 2011 07:28 PM

My 07 g35 coupe, with all of its supposed transmission issues, was flawless. My G37, I've had a few issues with it, but the dealership is close, and more than willing to help and provide a loaner vehicle, so it's not too much of an inconvenience.

you have one and get high 20's driving it around? I'm talking about actual real-world gas mileage, not a made up number on a dealership window sticker.
