Anyone have any hard evidence about the TT IPL G37

Just wondering how possible it might be.

Figured Datsun would eventually try to run against the Bimmers, Mercs and Audis/VW. Would probably look a hell of a lot nicer than the GTR.

Maybe something with more Infiniti lines...

Just my late night curiosity running.

With Nissan recently hiring the head of Audi to run Infiniti and what he did there, think R10, I'd say it's going to be sooner rather than later before twins are on an IPL.

Honestly though it will be cheaper to buy a G37 and slap twins on that than buy an IPL with twins, look at the price now for the IPL and it's miserly 18hp more than the G37. Can you imagine what it'll cost boosted? Holy sticker shock Batman!!!

^ Lots of people dont care if they can buy it cheaper and slap twins on. You can buy alot of cars way cheaper and make it faster then "X" car. Straight from the factory is a different thing.

Anyhow its interesting with the 4cyl deal with merc. It will probably be something similar to whats in the Juke.

Considering how much of a premium Infiniti is over Nissan, this would easily be 100k car with no goodies but the basics. Or they could do like the 350 to G35, take a GTR, lengthen the body a little for back seats and throw a different body over it.

Whatever they do, I won't be able to ever afford one

I didn't mention a thing about making a car faster than a Factory version with twins. I mentioned a person could buy a non-twin turbo version, have the same turbos installed and tuned to the exact same hp/tq as the Factory version and it would still be cheaper than the stealership markup.

I'd expect a twin turbo IPL to be a "Vettel Special Edition" with a price, as the last post mentions, probably around $100k if not more. Yeah, people will buy them just so they can say they drive a "Vettel" like Porsche douchebags do when asked what they drive. For that money my butt would be in the seat of an R-35.
