i think youre close. i think ill be 3.7L 7500rpm V6, 325hp/290lbft, intelligent variable timing on both sides. i dont think itll have cyl. shutoff, and i dont think itll get 30mpg in the next g. i think the weight will be more like 3400lbs.

I don't think you can have 3.7L V6 and be able to rev it to 7500 RPM easily and safely. 3.0L is optimal for V6, the larger the displacement the less rev happy the engine gets. So, with the rumor of the the next GTR having 3.2L V6 with variable valve timing and LIFT, I would suspect that the G might get a N/A version of that but slightly more displacement, i.e. 3.5L or less. I would love to have it rev to 7500 RPM or above though.

I'm having trouble seeing a 3.0-3.2L N/A engine being a better choice for the new G35. Maybe it'll remain a VQ35 w/ a 7500rpm redline? I can't imagine them dropping the displacement and also staying N/A...
