Not only do we not have specs/features, we don't even know what pricing will be (I imagine its around the sedan's figures) or what the production car will look like!!!

When I ordered my 07 Sedan, I had no idea what the specs/features/pricing were either.

Yeah, definitely a little risky. I was the first car I ever bought without even taking it for a drive first. On the flip side, I wasn't required to take delivery of the my G if I didn't like it or I changed my mind for whatever reason.

While I didn't need to put any money down for my either of my G's, the dealers that were asking for deposits on Zeds and RX8s assured that the deposit was "subject to customer satisfaction following test-drive". I would suggest the same would be true for anyone depositing on an 08 coupe.

Absolutely. No reputable dealer would expect someone to have to take a car without seeing and driving it.
