Leather Issue on my 2013 G37

I have noticed a few spots on the lower driver seat leather, looks like it wasn't finished properly and the finish is wearing off, I thought at first it was just some dirty spots. But it wouldn't clean off, spots just look darker now that they absorbed the leather cleaner. I've had three previous G's, and have never experienced an issue like this with the leather. It's just at 18,000 miles, and right at two years old, anyone else have any leather issues? I could maybe understand this if it was showing up where I always brush the seat entering the car, but this makes no sense. It's strange that it's just around the perforations in the leather.

Take it back to Infiniti, what should be covered under warranty since it's not "Normal Wear!"

That's what I was planning on doing, just wanted to see if anyone else had an issue. Maybe it's like the steering wheel on my '07. they replaced that when the car was about 3 years old! Thanks!

The color came off the leather. My G35 coupe has it in the same area. Have you ever cleaned your seats in the past that may have been a little abrasive removing some color?

I've never used anything other than leather cleaner, Zaino, but mostly just a damp microfiber cloth on this.

Were going to see if the dealer was willing to replace it? They may see it as wear and tear. Most upholstery shops and re-color it.

That's the only spots, so we'll see. Like I said, my '07 G was 6 years old, over 50k, and I had no issues with the leather.

Like others have said, take it to the dealer. If they ask, dont say you used any cleaners at all on it or they may try to tell you that you caused it.

Well, it appears that Infiniti is going to replace the seat covering, so that will work out. Just have to wait for the part to arrive!
