well, we went through the following process (there were two of us)

dawn clean
clay bar
dawn clean
rinse and dry
buff and polish (this included a trip to the nearest dealership for touch up paint and then food 1.5 hrs)
then 2 coats including wheels and every single inch of the car where paint existed (inside door, the small parts inside the wheel wells, all the glass, etc)

again, i'm picky

Well I did pretty similar to bluebob:

Dawn clean
clay bar
wash & rinse
Z6 spray
Z5 polish
Z6 spray
Z2 polish
Z6 spray

and finished by dressing the wheels, vacuuming the interior, I think I started around 10 in the morning and finished around 4:30 with a short lunch break, probably would have put on more but it was over 100 deg out there, I'm sure I'll add a few more coats next time I wash

oh ok makes more sense. i didn't have a buff and polish. and i'm not as thorough. i figure the more coats, the better the coverage anyway.

i forgot about the z6 spray... and that should be the last thing you put on... not in between coats...

yea, can't blame ya. I spent the whole time with a buddy that is my local Zaino expert as he's been using it for years. I just followed the process he has done for years.
