yeah pretty reliable ive had 4-5 years no problems.

and it takes awesome pics.

if u dont know a lot about camera's ask me i can help u choose between nikon / canon

Yea, i used photomatix.

It's a tough choice. My reasoning to choose Nikon vs canon was the lens choices. You can't autofocus w/ certain Nikon lens that don't have built in motors, unless you have the non-entry Nikons like D90 and D80. Here's a good review.

maybe if you got thicker tires..not wider..you wouldnt have to get coil overs

I think all three cameras are comparable. The main difference I notice is that the Canon XS has live view. Which many people see as a gimmick. I personally have only used it when taking nature shots low to the ground or above my head. And at times when taking group pictures and dont have my tripod, but use a car top where I cant see through the view finder. But I mostly take pictures w/ the view finder.

But if you want the a230, you should buy what you want. It is a good camera. I was always under the impression that sony lens's were expensive. There are many more Canon users than sony so I expected to find better deals w/ lens's.
