Talking New Rims & Suede Headliner!

I just picked up some black MRR GT1's and I LOVE these rims. The fitment is perfect too. I also took my first shot at upholstery and put in a suede headliner which turned out pretty good other than a few wrinkles around the center map light dome. The black suede makes the car feel so much more warm and comfortable compared to the nasty beige it came with. This really should have been black from the factory. As a side note, I put in chrome / amber turn bulbs and I highly recommend it. It looks so much nicer without the amber reflecting all the time.

Any questions / comments are welcome.

Here's the pics!

It wasn't really difficult, but more time consuming than I thought. Just buy 5-6 yards of suede you want, start with the pillars (so you get some experience before you do the roof) and go to town! I did the whole thing in a weekend including painting all of the plastics / visors with matte black fabric paint (autozone).

One tip I'd give you would be to NOT use the headliner spray glue crap they have at autozone. It's a huge pain to work with, and I had a lot better luck with 2 cans of some 3m super 77 (you can get at home depot). Completely cover the piece with glue, but don't drench it so it soaks through the suede or it'll look all blotchy when you're done.

The headliner itself, especially around the center dome, is really hard because the suede doesn't stretch at all, so I'd definitely start on that side of the headliner first so you can get that figured out, and line up the rest of the fabric.

If anyone has specific questions, I'd be happy to answer the best I can
