I am trying to get quotes from other shops ATM, so i can go to them and be like WTF and hopefully get my car out of there.

Thats total bullshit a 20 dollar difference in labor hours will never justify them putting your car on the back burner your paying for it to be worked on not worked on when they have time, shops that do that end up closed over time because they lose customers. I would get my car out of their asap.

Next shop you go to have them sign a contract for the price and time frame so they have to stick too it

Unless those t clamps are polished to perfection and some new design I've never heard of, those labor hours are a joke.

i was thinking that too. but then i recall he did a full engine rebuild so the shop probably already had the car hostage from that point on and was probably easier to jus have them do it all but he didnt think theyd rape him this hard? im jus guessing

I have a full time IT Job, a side IT biz and a side Carbon Fiber biz. Im very busy, so having a shop do most of the work I don't have time for makes sense.

Also, regarding the seat bracket. New one came back, is completely different and actually fits. So not sure if corbeau just labeled the wrong bracket or made a new one from my measurements. But it's an exact fit now.

ah makes sense. hope they get everything sorted out. i hate seeing people get shafted by shops and you were basically saying your car was being held hostage which is even worse lol

it's been a couple of months. so, the latest..

Car moved to another shop where most of the work that was done, is being redone. The gent that will be helping me finish it, built the gamermodz 1200hp 350z. So she's in good hands now.

We basically have to redo everything but the intercooler and piping except one piece that is blocking the power steering port.

So in all, I think I spent a little over 3k to have it all done. only to spend another 2k to have it redone. Not to mention all my polished stuff is now damaged and has to be all repolished because it sat for 7 months. So there is another 1500. YAY!

But I'm still around and hopefully will have the car running in the next couple of weeks.

Finally got to start the beast this weekend. Purrs like a mean kitten. Just have to do some tuning on the fuel pressure and get her broken in and we can move to dyno.
