Toyota Supra Mechanical Review

With all the recent chat about the new BMW Supra, its time to take a throwback at the MK3 Supra. I made a mechanical review video on my brother's Supra here:

Here's a look under the hood. This one has the 7M-GTE turbocharged inline six cylinder engine with a R153 5 speed manual transmission.
It's been rebuilt with some aftermarket add ons, so not everything here is original:

What I found most interesting is how relatively loaded the 1987 Supra is with modern features, considering its era. Things like power windows, door locks and mirrors, automatic climate control, cruise, adjustable electronic suspension and 4 way lumbar support are all included.

Here's a look underneath the car. Right at the front you can see the intercooler. Everything underneath is very open and uncovered compared to modern cars.

Here's a look at the double wishbone front suspension. It looks very beefy for a 2-door car, but this was the 80's when things were still overbuilt:

Enjoy the video! One day if I get my hands on an A90 Supra I'd love to make a similar mechanical review to see how things have changed.
