Grounding Wires

Did a quick search, didn't really find the info I was looking for. I noticed some people said that some of the grounding kits weren't that great and one of the recommendations was one from sxexcx. It also seems to be that the wire being used it 4 awg. I did something similar when I had my audio setup, otherwise known as "the big 3" and I noticed the same concept applies. However, I used 1/0 (0 gauge)wire and used tinned copper lugs. Just wondering if there is a benefit with using the 1/0 wire over the 4 awg.

research has shown 4 gauge wire to be the most effective as well as cost effective. Also sxexcx only does a awsome rounding kit i hear but he only does his wiring kits for people located by him.

Yeah I work near him so it wouldn't be a problem. Is there a link that shows the 4 awg would be more effective? I figured that more strands would mean better/more flow of electricity. I have the 1/0 wiring already so I would use that instead of buying some 1/0.

Ah, thanks for the info. What properties of the 4 awg is it that separate a good set of wires from another? I noticed some people think that the Stillen grounding wires aren't all that great and was wondering why. Audio-wise, the Kicker brand has a high strand count and is VERY flexible (I even have some 4 awg of that wire that I'm hoping would work), and there are other brands who have a thick jacket, but considerably less strand count and are equivalent to say 8 awg Kicker wire. Just wondering if I can use the 4 awg I have basically.
